Ministry Update

September 2009

We hope you are having a wonderful summer.  God is so good!  Even during these financially challenging times God has provided for our needs through faithful donors like you.  The recent success of our new men’s ministry resources and The Ultimate Men’s Ministry Encyclopedia Project simply underscores the relevancy of our mission to encourage, empower, and equip every man God places in our path.

As you may have picked up by reviewing the outline for the encyclopedia project in our last monthly letter, it is our desire to continue working with churches, para-ministry organizations, conference centers, and Christian businesses in providing resources and messages associated with developing vibrant men’s ministries.  Our new consultation services, pulpit presentations, and written materials seek to present the gospel, encourage men to pursue God, and equip them for discipleship and spiritual service in their homes, workplaces, communities, and the world.

To Know God and Make Him Known.  This is fundamental to all we do and our process for discipleship.During our last Iron Sharpens Iron Conference held in Post Falls, Idaho 70% of the men came forward to re-dedicate their lives to Christ, make an initial decision to follow Jesus, and/or surrender personal baggage that were barriers to their personal growth.

Bob Unruh is a committed volunteer who usually supervises our prayer team and is committed to the process of discipleship.  Bob recently told me of a story of an un-churched guy named Blaine who attend our Post Falls ISI conference and came forward to give his life to Christ.  Bob has been discipling Blaine and has now baptized him.  The Kingdom of God rejoices to know that one more man is now a warrior for Jesus because someone cared enough to disciple him.
 
Thanks to your continued support and the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit, September will be filled with numerous opportunities to bless others.  We will re-start two men’s bible study programs called The Gathering.  Our 28th Anniversary Celebration BBQ and Summer Fundraiser drawing is scheduled for September 5.  In the next few weeks we will be providing two Special Kids Day Programs for the disabled in the Bay Area.  Our website is being updated to include new resources to help individuals and churches reach men and their families for Jesus. We are already preparing for 2010 speaking engagements, work on our new church resource materials, and preparation for a dynamic year with large Iron Sharpen’s Iron Conferences in the East Bay Area, Tri Cities Washington, Sacramento California, Post Falls Idaho, and Chicago Illinois.  Your support of this ministry is critical to reaching more men for Christ.  Thank you for standing with us!
